Stroll the World (strolltheworld.com) is written and run by me, Kejo Liu, a travel advisor based in Los Angeles. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: I collect very little, I never sell your information, and the data this site does touch exists to send you guides you asked for and to understand which pages are useful.
If you subscribe to the newsletter or request a free download (like the airplane activity book), you give me your email address. I use it to send you what you asked for: new destination guides, occasional travel tips, and the download itself. Each email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. I do not sell, rent, or trade the email list with anyone.
If you email me directly or reach out about trip planning, I keep that correspondence so I can help you, and I treat trip details (travel dates, family details, preferences) as confidential.
Like most websites, this site uses analytics and standard server logs to understand how it is used:
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which is how the site supports itself. If you click one and book or buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The partners I work with include Stay22, Viator, Booking.com, Klook, KKday, Faye travel insurance, and Chase. When you click an affiliate link, the partner's site may set a cookie in your browser so the booking can be credited to this site. Those cookies are set and governed by the partner, under their own privacy policy, and I never see your personal or payment details from any booking you make with them.
Some guides include an interactive lodging map provided by Stay22. The map is embedded content loaded from Stay22's servers, and it behaves as if you visited their site directly: it may set cookies and collect usage data under Stay22's privacy policy.
I use a small number of service providers to run the site, and your data is shared with them only so the site can function: Supabase stores the newsletter list, Lovable hosts the site and delivers emails, and Google provides analytics. I never sell your personal information, and I do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, or anywhere else with privacy laws that grant you rights of access, correction, deletion, or portability, I will honor those requests regardless of where you live. Just email me.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). There is nothing you need to opt out of. If you would still like to make a formal request, email me at kejo.liu@fora.travel and I will confirm in writing.
I keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings. Trip-planning correspondence is kept as long as needed to serve you as a client.
This site is written for parents, not kids. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted an email address, contact me and I will delete it.
If this policy changes, I will update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes to how email addresses are used would be announced in the newsletter itself.
Questions about this policy or your data: email me at kejo.liu@fora.travel.
